Shooting Clear Glass

I found an old photography book at an estate sale today and in it was a whole section on shooting clear glass.  FASCINATING!  Things I didn't even think about!

Clear glass can be a pain in the butt because if you shoot it on white with traditional front lighting it washes out and you lose all the details.  I have LOTS and LOTS of clear glass just sitting in the garage waiting for me to shoot it and list it.

This book suggested shooting clear glass with a backlight through a transparent material to enhance the glass details.  Here are my test shots on a fairy light I need to list:

Very retro, classy, old school catalog feel to it!

I'm in LOVE!!!!

Time to pull the glass out of the garage and get it listed!! :)
